Joseph Zen, DACM, MSTOM, L.Ac. NCCAOM
Dr. Zen is the owner of Acupuncture and Herbs, and a Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine (DACM). As a Licensed Acupuncturist (L.Ac.) in the state of California, Dr. Zen is board certified by the NCCAOM in both acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. He graduated from the prestigious Emperor’s College School of Traditional Oriental Medicine in Los Angeles, California. Upon graduation, Dr. Zen interned at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) with like-minded and renowned acupuncturists, and had the unique privilege to travel throughout East Asia and China to further his research and understanding of acupuncture and herbal medicines.

With Dr. Zen’s desire to be a leader in best practices, he furthered his education by attending the distinguished Pacific College of Oriental Medicine and graduated with his DACM and Master of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine (MSTOM). Dr. Zen’s degrees demonstrate the highest level of licensure-qualifying training in the profession.

Today, Dr. Zen proudly serves the Bakersfield community to provide patients with a holistic approach to treat and address the physical, spiritual, and environmental causes of illness. Using integrated and modernized techniques, Dr. Zen has experience treating a plethora of ailments such as pain management, arthritis, chronic fatigue, headache, stress, injury, weight loss, substance abuse addiction, and more.
